Villa Noise: Fans go extra mile as FA Cup final fever sets in

How's this for a Villa adventure?

Roy Sullivan is set to embark on a 45-hour round trip in just four days - all in the name of his beloved club.

Roy lives in Sydney, Australia but was quick to book his flight to London once Tim Sherwood's side had secured their place in the FA Cup final.

Roy - who kept his season ticket despite moving Down Under four years ago - will depart Sydney on the eve of the final and touch down in London at 7am on Saturday.

And the expat plans to be back at his desk on Tuesday morning!

That's what we call commitment.

Speaking of Villans Down Under, here are two more that are embarking on a mammoth jaunt for the Cup final.

Jonathan and Wendy Higgins are originally from Northfield.

But they have lived in Perth, Australia for the last 25 years.

And the Villa-mad couple are making a special visit back to the UK this week to cheer on their beloved team against Arsenal at Wembley.

All roads may point to Wembley this weekend but the Strawford family will be taking an unorthodox route to the national stadium.

The Villa diehards from West Heath are due to fly out to Hamburg on Friday for a family stag weekend.

But the German sojourn has proved to be no stumbling block for dad Paul and his sons James and Richard.

The Strawfords will spend a night in Germany's second city before taking a flight into Gatwick Airport on the morning of the FA Cup final.

And after taking their seats among the Villa faithful at Wembley for the showdown with Arsenal, they will return to Hamburg on Sunday morning to rejoin the stag festivities.

It is fair to say Lee Birch will not forget this Saturday in a hurry.

While his beloved Villa face Arsenal in the FA Cup final, Lee is marrying fiancé Sarah Darlington.

As well as coinciding with the Cup final, the happy couple's big day also falls on their sixth anniversary.

Lee is a season ticket holder in the lower Holte End and has attended all of the previous Villa finals in his lifetime.

Let's hope he has extra cause for celebration on the happiest day of his life.

Cup final day will be special for all Villa supporters, but especially so for Charlotte Emery - it falls on her 21st birthday.

Charlotte has been a Villa fan from birth - she sat in the League Cup when she was just a week old, and was photographed with the trophy in 1996.

A season ticket holder for the past 14 years, she was also captain of the Villa under-12s girls team.

Here's hoping Charlotte, pictured with her dad Rob at the semi-final, has a 21st birthday she will never forget.
